CBD, short for cannabidiol is one of 100+ natural occurring chemical compounds, known as cannabinoids found in cannabis sativa plants. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive and does not cause a "high" when consumed.
CBD is typically extracted from the hemp plant, a variety of cannabis that is low in THC and high in CBD. It is then often used to produce various CBD products, including oils, tinctures, capsules, topicals, and edibles.
Unlike THC, CBD will not have any psychoactive effects. However, CBD can have an effect on your mental state. Many users have reported feelings of relaxation, alertness, or mental clarity from taking CBD.
Full-spectrum CBD Oil means that it has more than just CBD. Including CBDA, CBN, CBG, CBC, THC, etc. When combined, the cannabinoids are working synergistically together to provide you more benefits, which is called "The Entourage Effect"
The Entourage Effect is a phenomenon in which the compounds found in the cannabis plant work together synergistically to produce a greater overall effect than any single compound could achieve on its own. The term was first coined by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, a renowned cannabis researcher.
The Entourage Effect is thought to occur because the various compounds in the cannabis plant, such as cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids, interact with each other and with the body's endocannabinoid system in complex ways. For example, some terpenes may enhance the effects of cannabinoids by improving their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, while other compounds may modulate the activity of specific receptors in the endocannabinoid system.
Research suggests that the Entourage Effect may play a role in the therapeutic effects of cannabis and may help to explain why some cannabis products that contain multiple compounds, such as full-spectrum CBD oil, are more effective than products that contain only isolated compounds, such as pure CBD.
Using full-spectrum products, Delta-9 THC levels are below 0.3%. While most of our products are diluted to where THC levels are non-detectible, we cannot guarantee that you will pass a drug test, considering how many types of drug tests are on the market and their accuracy.
We suggest starting small, around .25mL in the evening and seeing how you react, and then upping your dosage to the desired effects. It may also take a few days for your body to adjust and learn how to process the oil, so be sure to use daily for a minimum of 10 days.
The best method of taking CBD may vary depending on the individual's preferences and the reason for taking it. Here are some common methods of taking CBD:
Sublingual oils or tinctures: CBD oils or tinctures are taken sublingually, meaning they are placed under the tongue and held there for 60-90 seconds before swallowing. This method allows for quick absorption of CBD into the bloodstream. This method also bypasses the digestive system.
Edibles: CBD can be infused into various edibles, such as gummies, chocolates, or baked goods. Edibles can be a convenient and discreet way to consume CBD, but their effects may take longer to kick in.
Capsules: CBD capsules are taken orally, like any other supplement, and can provide a consistent dosage of CBD.
Topicals: CBD can also be applied topically, in the form of creams, lotions, or balms. These products are often used for localized pain or inflammation.
It's important to note that the effectiveness of CBD may vary depending on the individual and the method of consumption. It's also recommended to start with a low dose and gradually increase as needed.
The length of time it takes for CBD to take effect depends on the method of consumption/administration. The fastest effect comes from smoking or vaping and can be felt within seconds or minutes of consumption. Topical administration will be felt quickly as well. Sublingual consumption is the next fastest method and can be felt anywhere from 15-60 minutes. The slowest effect will be felt from oral ingestion within 60-90 minutes (this is the longest lasting method).
